Helber worked as a pharmacy technician for Keil's Pharmacy for 20 years. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Red Bud, and a charter member of VFW Women's Auxiliary, Red Bud. Mrs. Helber was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Jenny, nee Theory, Bievenue; her first husband, Thomas Cross, whom she married Sept.

19, 1954, and who died Feb. 12, 1978; her second husband, Ardie Helber; and four brothers, Joe, Howard, Elroy and Robert Bievenue. Surviving are sons, Mike and Mark Cross of Red Bud; sisters, Dorothy Sylstra of Branson, and Pearl Reinhold of Evansville, brother, Ezra Bievenue of Red Bud; grandsons, Travis Cross of St. Peters, and Nathan Cross of Red Bud. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Snows Shrine, St.

Hesse Sr. Charles F. Hesse 76, of Waterloo, born July 9, 1924, in East St. Louis, died Monday, March 26, 2001, at Canterbury Manor Nursing Center, Waterloo. Mr.

Hesse was a member of the First Baptist Church, Waterloo, where he was a deacon. He was a past member of the Waterloo IOOF 27 and a member of the Retailer's 655 Union for 36 years. Mr. Hesse was preceded in death by his parents, Louis M. and Hilda, nee Curtis, Hesse.

Surviving are his wife, Helen nee Yaggie, Hesse; children, Charles F. Hesse Jr. of Waterloo, Judith A. Perkins of Warrenton, and Timothy L. Hesse of Fenton, five grandchildren; a greatgrandchild; brother, Robert (Anna) Hesse of Magnolia, Texas, and a nephew.

Memorials may be made to the Canterbury Nursing Center, Waterloo, or to First Baptist Church, Waterloo. Dooley, nee Morse, 69, of Waterloo, died March 20, 2001, at Red Bud, Ill. Born April 29, 1931, in Dixon Springs, she was the daughter of Agnes, nee Reedus, Morse and the late Earl Morse, and the wife of George Dooley, who survives, and to whom she was married Nov. 3, 1973, in Versailles, Mo. Mrs. Dooley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waterloo, and had been the owner and operator a beau-' ty salon.

Survivors, besides her husband and mother, include four stepdaughters and their spouses, Karen and Timothy Wright of St. Louis, Teresa Lynn and Richard Kaup of Warminster, Judy Marsha Dooley of Arnold, and Kathy and Stephen Chamberlain of High Ridge, a stepson, Richard Lee Dooley of Affton, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jim Morse of Joppa, and Bob and Helen Morse of Paducah, a sister and a brotherin-law, Frances and William Etheridge of Golconda, two grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and seven stepgreat-grandchildren. Besides her father, Mrs. Dooley was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Kay Sanchez, and a brother, Frank Morse. Visitation was at the De Fabio Funeral Home, Waterloo, on Thursday and Friday; March 22 and March 23.
