How do I get out of TurboTax Deluxe? If you have not paid for TurboTax Deluxe then you can downgrade to the free version by using the Clear Start Over option. With TurboTax open select tax tools in the left-hand panel. Then select Clear Start Over.

You can use Free Edition by selecting Tax Tools in the left menu, then Switch to Free Edition. Selecting this option keeps all the data you've entered so far.

To downgrade from Full Service, select Do my own taxes in the left or bottom menu. You will leave Full Service and arrive in the TurboTax product that most closely matches what you've told us so far about your tax situation.
